Overview


The Wastewater Division is here to STAY (Service to Accommodate You) by providing high-quality customer service with minimal interruptions to both residents and visitors.

The City's wastewater collection system consists of nearly 81 miles of sanitary sewer pipelines. The treatment plant's primary and secondary ponds each hold 25 million gallons of water. The City discharges between 900,000 and 1.5 million gallons per day.

Responsibilities



The Wastewater Division's responsibilities include:

    • Inspecting sanitary sewer mains
    • Maintaining the sanitary sewer mains
    • Mandated Department of Environmental Quality / Environmental Protection Agency (DEQ/EPA) laboratory testing
    • Operation and maintenance of City-owned lift stations
    • Operation and maintenance of the City wastewater lagoons
    • Root control within the sanitary sewer mains
