Chief's Message

Welcome

Cody, Wyoming has a rich history, and I am truly humbled and honored to be the new City of Cody Police Chief. I am very proud to represent all of the hard-working men and women of the Cody Police Department and the community we serve.

During my initial assessment of the organization as Chief of Police, it has become apparent that the men and women of the Cody Police Department understand that we must have the confidence, support, and respect of the people who live and work in our city to successfully accomplish our mission.

The Cody Police Department's goal is to provide professional public safety services and ensure Cody remains a safe community where people want to live, work, and visit.

Chief

I firmly believe in recruiting and hiring the best possible individuals and retaining them by investing in training, development, quality equipment, and current technology for employees and volunteers of the Department. These investments set the groundwork for officer well-being, a fruitful career, and a lasting commitment to our community and profession.

Please take a few minutes to learn more about the Cody Police Department’s many divisions, programs, and services. You will find, as I have, that our employees are a highly-dedicated and enthusiastic group of professionals who take great pride in their work.

Respectfully,

Chuck Baker
Chief of Police
