Effective and secure use of information and technology is vital to the City of Cody's business operations and goals as a municipal government. The City of Cody's Information Technology (IT) Division is dedicated to providing reliable, secure communication environments for employees to effectively utilize technology.

The IT Division maintains the following technology systems and services for all City departments:

Operations that involve the adoption of new hardware and software systems are facilitated by the IT Division. The IT Division is also responsible for ensuring data confidentiality, integrity, and availability through security controls and protocols.

The City's IT budget is developed by the IT Manager and approved by Department Heads and Council. All IT systems are purchased, procured, and provisioned by the IT Division.
